Located near friendly Kavieng, New Ireland, Papua New Guinea, the TreeHouse Village EcoResort provides environment-compatible accommodation with Beachfront Bungalows and the main TreeHouse Suite.

The Main Suite has a Queen Double and a Single bed with additional singles in the 3rd floor Loft. And yes... an ensuite hot shower and flushing toilet up in a tree. The second floor balcony is a great place to catch the breeze and relax with a good book or just enjoy a birds eye view of the scenery and observe the activities down below. The popular northern balcony looks out over the lagoon, outer reef and Pacific Ocean. The Treehouse is energy efficient with solar lighting and deep screened windows to keep you bugless. The TreeHouse has been designed to catch the sea breeze during the day and the cool mountain breeze at night. So you may not need the fan.

The traditional Bungalows are elevated above the beach on mangrove posts and are located amongst the beachfront trees. Their spacious balconies reach out through the trees over the golden sand beach on the edge of the lagoon. They provide an exclusive view of the lagoon, waves breaking on the outer reef and the Pacific Ocean. All the Bungalows have one Queen Double and one Single Bed and a fan. There is a bathroom with hot shower, hand basin & solar toilet.

It's your choice to just relax and appreciate the New Ireland tropical flora and fauna at the Treehouse or you may wish to go on one of our guided nature walks, rainforest trek, village and garden stroll, a road tour or paddle your own canoe through the lagoon and mangroves. We also offer world class diving expeditions.

There are those easy Activities, too: pamper yourself with an Aromatherapy massage, using oils and fragrances from the island; take a drive along the coastal road (The TreeHouse 4WD transport is available on request) or enjoy a tropical beach party, with island band and pig on a spit; dance into the evening and watch the fireflies illuminate whole trees with their flashing bioluminescence.

Meals are served in the TreeHouse overlooking the Pacific Ocean and resort, on the beach or delivered to your Bungalow. Breakfast and lunch is your choice and the evening dinner is selected from our tropical buffet. Tropical reef lobster, mangrove crab and fresh deep sea snapper are often available and we occasionally have a traditional Mumu. Our fruit & vegetables are grown organically in the village gardens and we shop at the local market daily. We also cater for selective tastes.

We are powered by the tropical sun and located on a golden sand lagoon fringing the South Pacific Ocean. We look forward to welcoming you …
