We recycle 100% of the water used in the hotel for irrigation purposes. We separate garbage in 8 different categories 6 of which are stored and shipped to recycling centers, another (kitchen left overs) is composted to produce nutrient rich soil for our gardens, only one category is left and sent as garbage to the local land fill. Illumination for paths and walk ways is done with high efficiency LED bulbs and cabins are illuminated with power saving bulbs. We do garbage retrieval campaigns in the sorrounding beaches. Description

El Copal is nestled in the foot hills of Punta Cometa Natural Reserve in the state of Oaxaca, in the eco community of Mazunte, surrounded by nature with a spectacular view of the Mexican South Pacific Ocean.

El Copal is above all a place where love for our planet is combined with a wide knowledge of service and dedication to your comfort .

Four lovely eco-cabins with a private outside shower, a balcony with hammock to swing away the afternoon contemplating whales, dolphins, manta rays, millions of turtles and many species of birds.

Our restaurant is part of the slow food organization, buying most of the products from local producers combined with the expertise of our two executive chefs and the local knowledge of our kitchen staff to create a menu for you to remember.
