Air conditioning in the clubhouse restaurant is scheduled. · All dinghies/speedboats have switched to four-stroke Etek engines that burn fuel more efficiently than the former two-stroke ones. · Desalination plant · A rainwater catchment system is in place to capture, filter, and store rainwater. · Every room has a "Laundry Note Card" which informs guests about the limited water resources in El Nido. · The sewage treatment plant utilizes a combination of two processes in which the organic solids are consumed by the action of aerobic and anaerobic bacteria, converting it into water, gas, and organic ash. The product water is used in flushing toilets, watering the plants, and supplying fire hydrants. · Grey water from the Housekeeping laundry area passes through a reed bed to remove phosphates from soap before it is passed on to the sewage treatment plant.
