Description

Built in the 1790s, Bloomfield House is one of the finest Georgian family houses of, arguably, England‘s most beautiful city. The views from the house are delightful, looking down across Bath’s world-famous crescents, churches and surrounding hills, yet only about 20 minutes walk from the centre. Elegant, unique, once the home of the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress, Bloomfield combines romantic four poster bedrooms, fine art and antiques with modern environmental credentials. The proprietors, Karen and Robert Barnard-Weston, co-founded Bath's Farmers Market, the first in England, and full English breakfasts are organic, fair-traded and provided by local suppliers. In addition to regular bed and breakfast, seminars and small conferences, particularly on social and environmental topics, form a core part of Bloomfield’s raison d’être. The Drawing Room can accommodate up to 15 delegates and offers full digital and analogue presentation facilities, along with wireless internet access, indoors and out. (Delegates are encouraged to bring their partners along for a relaxing weekend of R&R - revelling and romance - before or after their working week: a break with convention!)
